Welcome to SLBC, West Bengal
The State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC) has been constituted in April 1977, as an apex inter-institutional forum to create adequate coordination machinery in all States, on a uniform basis for development of the State. It comprises representatives of Commercial Bank, RRBs, State Co-operative Banks, RBI, NABARD, heads of Government Departments, representatives of Financial Institutions etc. operating in a State. Punjab National Bank is the Convener Bank of SLBC West Bengal.

To do the necessary spade work for formulation of Annual Credit Plan
To undertake critical analysis of ACP
To review the assistance required and provided by government agencies

The 155th  State Level Bankers Committee Meeting for the State of West Bengal was held on 08.03.2022 at Kolkata to Review the Performance of the Banks for the quarter ended December 2021 and the Meeting was Chaired by Dr. Amit Mitra, Honble.Principal Chief Advisor to The Hon’ble Chief Minister and Finance Department, Government of West Bengal.








The 152nd  State Level Bankers Committee Meeting for the State of West Bengal was held on 22.06.2021 at Kolkata to Review the Performance of the Banks for the year ended March 2021 and the Meeting was Chaired by Dr. Amit Mitra, Honble.Principal Chief Advisor to The Hon’ble Chief Minister and Finance Department, Government of West Bengal.



Highlights








Presently, West Bengal State is at 3rd position in the country after Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka by covering more than 4 lac no. of SHGs with credit linked in the financial year 2017-18 (reported till 10.03.2018).
West Bengal remains one of the best performers under MUDRA and Stand up India Scheme.
SLBC West Bengal remain instrumental for encouraging MSME units to grow for proper funding.
West Bengal State secured FIRST rank in maximum percentage achievements of identified household coverage under Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana.
The State of West Bengal is presently served by 8232 Brick & Mortar Branches and more than 13000 CBS enabled fixed point Bank Mitras.
